For many people it isn't just the anxiety or 'nerves' at the time of the exam but very often it is weeks or months ahead, or perhaps the person suffered a bad time during previous exams and are worried that it is all going to happen again.

One of the comments I constantly hear is that after all the clients hard studying, the fear is that when they walk into the exam room their mind will go blank.

Nerves and anxiety will have got the better of them and that their ability to remember  will simply stop working!

They feel that while they are quite confident in the subject for which they are being tested, their "nerves" will cause them to 'let themselves down'.
