Stop Pulling Your Hair and Manage Your Stress with Hypnosis

Are you tired of constantly pulling your hair out? Does the urge to do so leave you feeling helpless and frustrated? If so, then Fast Track Hypnosis may be just what you need!

Hair pulling, also called trichotillomania, is a compulsive disorder that causes people to pull out their hair. The resulting bald patches can be embarrassing and cause low self-esteem. Hair pulling can also lead to infections and permanent hair loss.

Most people with trichotillomania feel an irresistible urge to pull out their hair when they’re stressed or anxious. For some, the act of hair pulling provides temporary relief from these feelings. But eventually, the urge to pull becomes overwhelming and difficult to control.

What Can Cause Hair Pulling?

There are many possible causes of hair pulling, such as stress, anxiety, or OCD. If you’re struggling with hair pulling, it’s important to explore all of the possible causes so that you can find the root cause of your problem and start working on a solution.

  • Stress and anxiety are common causes of hair pulling. If you’re feeling stressed or anxious, your body may respond by trying to relieve that tension in any way possible, including through hair pulling. If you can identify when you’re feeling particularly stressed or anxious and find ways to manage those emotions, you may be able to reduce your hair pulling.
  • OCD is another potential cause of hair pulling. People with OCD often have compulsions, or repetitive behaviours that they feel compelled to do in order to ease their anxiety. For some people with OCD, hair pulling may be a way to try to control their environment or themselves.

If you’re struggling with hair pulling, it’s important to explore all of the possible causes so that you can find the root cause of your problem and start working on a solution. Fast Track Hypnosis can help you stop pulling your hair by teaching you how to manage stress, anxiety, and OCD in a healthy way.

Hi Alan,

You probably won’t remember me but I came to see you in 2010 about the hair pulling.
When I came to you it was out of desperation because everywhere I went no one could tell me what was happening to me and why I was doing it.
It had got to the stage where I simply would not go out any more, I fell out with my partner and left my job because I was so embarrassed about people looking at me.
I ended up wearing a scarf on my head. On one occasion I even told someone I was going for chemotherapy and my hair was falling out!
After my sessions with you I stopped pulling out my hair and it took a while before I would go out again, but I did.
I found a new partner (I can laugh now because he is bald) and got back to being “normal” again.
I returned to work and recently got promoted to management, so I am getting there. It’s surprising about the hair pulling because I have read a lot about it in the newspapers recently.

Thanks for everything, Barbara
