Award-winning hypnotherapist Alan Gilchrist holds regular Fast Track Hypnosis clinics at the Silverbirch Hotel, Omagh. There is no need to travel to Belfast.

People attend from across Tyrone, Fermanagh and Derry / Londonderry, including Strabane, Dungannon, Cookstown, Enniskillen, Irvinestown and Magherafelt. If you live within a reasonable distance of Omagh, this clinic was set up with you in mind.

Alan has been practising hypnotherapy in Northern Ireland for more than 40 years and has worked with over 95,000 clients. You can read more about his background at About Alan Gilchrist.

What Brings People to the Omagh Clinic

Most people who attend are not looking for long-term therapy. They want a clear outcome and they want to move forward. The issues that come up most often are:

  • Anxiety, overthinking and long-term stress
  • Poor sleep and an overactive mind
  • Weight management and emotional eating
  • Stopping smoking or vaping
  • Fears and phobias that limit daily life
  • Confidence, driving test nerves, exam pressure and interview anxiety

Many people have been managing these things for years before they come in. Fast Track Hypnosis is designed to work quickly. Most simple issues are resolved in a single session.

Why Fast Track Hypnosis Works Differently

Fast Track Hypnosis was developed by Alan because traditional hypnotherapy was often too slow for people who simply wanted relief. The standard analytical approach could take 15 or more sessions. Fast Track works directly with the subconscious response that is keeping the problem in place, without asking clients to revisit painful memories or spend months in therapy.

For people in rural Tyrone, Fermanagh and Derry / Londonderry who have been carrying anxiety, poor sleep or emotional tension for a long time, this distinction matters. The aim is practical relief, not prolonged analysis.

You can see how this approach works in practice in a televised demonstration Alan took part in, available at Fear of Flying TV Programme.

Anxiety and Overthinking

Anxiety is the most common reason people attend the Omagh clinic. It does not always present as panic attacks. More often it shows up as constant overthinking, physical tension, irritability or difficulty winding down.

Hypnosis calms the subconscious signals that keep the body on high alert when there is no real danger. When that response settles, sleep tends to improve and day-to-day life becomes clearer and more manageable.

Alan has explained how hypnosis helps with anxiety in plain terms here: How Does Hypnosis Help Anxiety?

If you would like to experience how it feels before booking, there is a free relaxation session available here: Free Relaxation Session

Sleep Problems

Poor sleep and anxiety are closely connected. Many people attending the Omagh clinic find that sleep has suffered for years alongside stress or worry. Hypnosis helps the body return to more natural sleep patterns without medication.

More detail on how this works: Achieve Restful Sleep and Beat Insomnia

Weight Management and Emotional Eating

Weight issues in this part of Northern Ireland are very often linked to stress rather than appetite. People attending the Omagh clinic frequently describe eating out of habit, comfort or tension rather than hunger.

The Virtual Gastric Band helps reduce portion size naturally, but the more important work usually involves addressing the emotional triggers behind eating patterns. Hypnosis allows that to happen quietly and without judgement.

Alan’s approach to emotional eating is explained here: Emotional Eating with Fast Track Hypnosis

Stop Smoking in Under 30 Minutes

People attending the Omagh clinic to stop smoking are usually not looking for motivation. They want the urge gone. The Fast Track stop smoking session takes around 30 minutes and works by removing the subconscious drive to smoke, rather than asking you to resist cravings.

Fears, Phobias and Confidence

Alan has helped people from across Tyrone, Fermanagh and Derry / Londonderry overcome fears that had limited their lives for years, including fears of flying, driving, medical procedures, animals and many everyday situations.

A full A to Z list of phobias is available here: A to Z of Phobias

Confidence issues (driving test nerves, interview anxiety, exam pressure) are also among the most common reasons people attend. If confidence is something you’re working on: Grow Your Confidence

What to Expect at a Session

All sessions at the Omagh clinic are private and one-to-one. Alan will spend a short time at the start clarifying what you want to change, then guide you into a relaxed, attentive state where that change becomes easier. You are not asleep. You remain fully aware and in control throughout.

Sessions must be booked in advance. There is no walk-in availability at the Silverbirch Hotel.

Other Clinic Locations

Alongside Omagh, Alan runs Fast Track Hypnosis clinics in Ballymena and Coleraine. Omagh is the most practical option for clients in Tyrone, Fermanagh and Derry. All clinic dates are listed on the One Day Clinics page.

Some clients attend Omagh for an initial session and follow up at another location, depending on what is convenient at the time.

FAQS

How many sessions will I need?

Most straightforward issues (stopping smoking, nail biting, simple phobias) are resolved in a single session. Anxiety, complex phobias and confidence issues may take more than one session, and Alan will discuss this with you at your appointment.

What issues do people from Tyrone and Fermanagh usually attend for?

The most common reasons are anxiety, long-term stress, poor sleep, emotional eating and stopping smoking. Many people have been managing these issues for years before they come in and are looking for practical relief rather than prolonged therapy.

Is there a clinic in Omagh, or do I need to travel to Belfast?

Yes. Alan holds regular Fast Track Hypnosis clinics at the Silverbirch Hotel in Omagh. There is no need to travel to Belfast. The clinic serves clients from County Tyrone, County Fermanagh and Derry / Londonderry, including Strabane, Dungannon, Cookstown, Enniskillen, Irvinestown and Magherafelt.

Can hypnosis help with long-standing anxiety or stress?

Yes. Many people attending the Omagh clinic have lived with anxiety for years. Fast Track Hypnosis focuses on calming the subconscious stress response rather than revisiting past events, which makes it suitable even when anxiety has been present for a long time.

Does hypnosis help with sleep problems?

It does. Poor sleep is commonly linked to anxiety and an overactive mind. Hypnosis helps the body and mind settle, which can restore more natural sleep patterns without medication.

Is hypnosis safe if I feel nervous or sceptical?

Yes. You remain fully aware and in control throughout. Hypnosis is not mind control and cannot make you do anything against your will. Being sceptical is very common and does not prevent the treatment from working.

Do people travel from Fermanagh for the Omagh clinic?

Yes. Clients regularly attend from Enniskillen, Irvinestown and surrounding areas. Omagh is far more convenient for most of Fermanagh than making the full journey to Belfast.
